Official Rules and Restrictions
No purchase or contribution necessary to apply. All federal, state and local laws and regulations governing apply. Scholarships are limited to legal residents of the U.S. who are at least 18 years of age and who support the mission of DFA. The sponsor of the scholarships is Democracy for America (“Committee”), P.O. Box 1717, Burlington VT 05402.
All scholarship applications must be received by May 11, 2015 at 11:59pm Eastern Time. Voting will continue through May 11, 2015 at 11:59pm Eastern Time. Scholarship winner(s) will be notified by close of business on May 15, 2015 via phone or email. You need not be present to win.
Void where prohibited by law. Scholarship winner(s) is responsible for all applicable taxes and incidental costs incurred during the trip. Only one application is necessary to apply for a scholarship. Scholarship includes the cost of a Netroots Nation conference pass and lodging for the winner only to Netroots Nation 15 in Phoenix, Arizona. Total prize valued at $2000.00 each. The actual value may vary, as determined in the Committee’s sole discretion. No substitutions or cash alternatives offered. Odds of winning dependent upon number of votes received.
The top five vote getters will automatically receive a scholarship, and DFA, in its sole discretion, will select twenty five additional scholarship recipients. By participating, applicants release and agree to hold harmless the Committee, and any of its directors, officers, employees and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the scholarship program or acceptance, possession, or any use of any scholarship or related travel. No warranties, express or implied, are created by application except the award of a scholarship as described herein. The Committee is not responsible for computer, software, network, or transmission problems or late, lost, or misdirected applications or other submission errors. The Committee has the right to terminate, cancel or modify the scholarship program at any time.
